Argentina: Economy Soars 9.3%

Argentina's economy grew 9.3 percent in October compared with the same month last year, well above expectations, the economy ministry said. The preliminary gross domestic product figures show the economy expanded 9.2 percent in the first 10 months of this year as Argentina speeds through a third consecutive year of strong growth. The economy minister, Felisa Miceli, said this year's growth would surpass 8.5 percent. The figures make Argentina Latin America's third-largest economy, after Mexico and Brazil. (REUTERS)
