NEW JERSEY, Montclair, December 3, 2007 DDR Global, a leading provider of innovative multicultural marketing, advertising, and translation solutions to corporations worldwide, is proud to announce that its Founder and CEO, Jay Rossi, was invited by Congressman Joe Sestak, Vice Chairman of the Small Business Committee and member of both Education & Labor and Armed Services Committees in the U.S. House of Representatives, to participate in the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania Business Procurement Summit at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

One of a select number of small businesses participating in the event, DDR Global stressed the importance of being able to understand and communicate with target non-English speaking customers and constituents, whether it be at the corporate or government agency level.

DDR Global Founder and CEO Jay Rossi said, “If you want to add new customers as a business owner, or adequately represent your constituents as a leader in government, you have to speak the language of your customers or constituents, you have to understand their culture, and you have to commit sufficient resources within your organization to support their needs as your business or agency moves forward. That means translating your brochures and literature, localizing your Web site, participating in community programs and outreach, hiring and properly training staff to support non-English speaking customers’ and constituents’ needs, and building trust. The result is a win-win situation for everyone involved.”

For the past ten months Congressman Sestak’s colleagues from the House of Representatives and various local and national subject matter experts have come to the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania to work at a series of public summits to critique and improve critical education, health care and economic legislation before the 110th Congress.

Continuing that process, Congressman Sestak invited Congressman John Murtha, Chairman of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and Congressman Ike Skelton, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee to present keynote addresses to summit participants at the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania Business Procurement Summit, with an eye toward promoting regional business opportunities and advocating that large federal contracts be debundled to give small business a fair share of government procurement.

The event brought together representatives from businesses of all sizes, purchasing agents, government officials, and a wide-range of non-profit organizations and services to discuss networking strategies for business to business, business to government, and government to business opportunities.

Rossi added, “Congressman Sestak did a wonderful job putting together this summit. In addition to talking about how DDR Global helps businesses tap new markets, I had the pleasure of discussing U.S. strategy in Iraq with Congressman Murtha as it relates to vetting Arabic interpreters. It was pretty heady to be included among so many high-powered, intelligent people committed to networking and building business and an honor to participate. I am certain many good things will come out of the event.”
